Bio/CV
Originally a mechanical engineering student at Umass Lowell, I ended up switching majors a few years in and graduated in 2006 with a bachelors in graphic design.

My current skills:
- CAD design/renders using Fusion 360 and Sketchup.
- Photoshop and Illustrator
- Carpentry, both fine and framing.
- Metal work including welding.
- Large scale printing and vinyl work.
- 3d printing and prototyping.
- Foam/Foamcore sculpting

During my internship in senior year I was introduced to a set designer who took an interest in my work. He introduced me to the film world and I ended up working as a PA (production assistant) in the art/construction department from 2006 - 2008.

In 2009 I joined the local film union (IATSE 481) under the art/construction department. From 2009 - 2015 I worked primarily in the film sector. I tend to keep to the tv commercial side of things as I enjoy the pace of it more than the feature film side of the industry. So the bulk of my work during this time was commercial set and prop design/construction.

Some notable films and TV shows I worked on in that time:
- Design Squad (Season 1/2) WGBH
- Time Warp (Season 1)
- The Finest Hours
- Black Mass
- Ghostbusters 2016

When I was not working on film during that time (2009-2016) I was in the public commercial sector as a prop maker for local prop houses and event designers. The two companies that I worked with most was Hopple Popple (High end event planner/designer) and Foam Props (Large scale foam prop sculptor).

In late 2016 I started working at Hopple Popple more or less full time. We struck a deal where I would be a full time employee at Hopple but that I could make my own schedule so I could take on film/commercial work outside of Hopple. This was so I could keep building my client base outside of Hopple with the intention of bringing more contacts into the Hopple Popple portfolio.

My roll at Hopple Popple was a lead designer, specifically centerpiece and large scale prop designer/fabricator.

This roll lasted from 2017-2018 when the owner of Hopple Popple retired. At this time I had gained many contacts in the event/gala industry so I decided to use these contacts and go freelance as a custom centerpiece/prop designer since 2019.

A short list of notable clients that I've worked with in the event capacity:
- The Museum of Science, Boston
- Neighborhood House Charter Schools
- Jewish Community Center, Newton
- Eagle Hill Charter School
- Boston Medical Center
- Heading Home, Boston
- Emerson College

I also have had a long list of private clients that hire me for my Wedding, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and Party design/fabrication services.

Recently I've been working on van conversions and teardrop trailer builds as a side business to take up the slack from the lack of events in 2020.

If you have any inquiries or would like to hire me for your next project, please feel free to email or call me. Especially if it's a challenge, I always love a challenge.
